At present, there are several types of glass product recycling: as a casting solvent, transformation and utilization, furnace reconstruction, raw material recycling and recycling, etc.
1. As a solvent for casting
Broken glass can be used as a solvent for cast steel and cast copper alloy to prevent oxidation.
2. Transformation and utilization
Transformation and utilization is an urgent recycling method to be developed, and there will be many new value-added technologies for transformation and utilization in the future. Pretreated broken glass is processed into small granular glass for many of the following purposes:
(1) The use of glass fragments as a combination of pavement, tests in the United States and Canada confirmed that the use of glass fragments as road packing reduces vehicle lateral slip accidents than other materials; light reflection is appropriate; pavement wear is good; snow melting quickly, suitable for use in low temperature conditions, etc.
(2) mixed the crushed glass with building materials to make building prefabricated parts, building bricks and other building products. Practice has proved that the pressure forming of organic materials has high size accuracy and strength and low production cost.
(3) crushed glass is used to make building surface decorations, reflector materials, arts and crafts, and clothing accessories, with beautiful visual effects.
(4) The mixture of glass and plastic waste and building materials can be made into synthetic building products.
3. After the pretreatment of the recycled glass, the return furnace is melted to make the glass container and glass fiber, etc.
4. Raw materials reuse Use the recycled broken glass as additional raw materials for glass products, because the proper addition of broken glass helps to melt the glass at a lower temperature.
5. Reutilization At present, the reuse scope of glass bottle packaging is mainly low-quality commodity packaging glass bottles. Such as beer bottles, soda bottles, soy sauce bottles, vinegar bottles and some canned bottles.
